Intention

The deer is often considered the “king of the forest” in the northern hemisphere. It is a symbol similar to a lion in Africa. The pose of this deer (flat ears, open mouth and wide open eyes) are meant to show that the deer is fearful. Behind him there is a smoked paper which is supposed to represent burning forest. Aim of this artwork is to show that just because fires do not happen in our region, we cannot stand neutral to fires in distant parts of the world.
